The rain gauge accurately measures the amount of rainfall by means of a self-emptying tipping bucket. It features a reed switch that closes each time the weight of the accumulated water causes the bucket to tilt, thus producing a pulse that can be recorded by a datalogger or pulse counter. It is specially designed to meet the guidelines established by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).<\/p>\n
The instrument features a rugged design and is entirely made of anodized aluminium to ensure maximum durability. The included removable filter prevents leaves, debris and other elements from clogging the funnel and blocking the passage of water.<\/p>\n
It is activated automatically at temperatures around 2\u00baC, preventing the accumulation of ice and snow in the funnel and allowing precise measurements at low temperatures or during and after a snowfall.<\/p>\n
The rain gauge can be mounted at different heights depending on the needs, either on a hard surface or nailed to the ground using the optional fixing bases.<\/p>\n
