To determine the depth, the sensor emits an ultrasonic pulse and then measures the elapsed time between the emission and the return of the pulse after being reflected on the snow.<\/p>\n
It can be connected to any conventional datalogger to perform the data storage and its subsequent downloading and monitoring on a computer.<\/p>\n
Its high performance makes it ideal for all kind of security and control applications in ski resorts, roads, rivers, lakes, reservoirs, dams, etc. Its low power consumption allows to use it in installations powered by solar panels.<\/p>\n
