Darrera supplies and installs a new windsock at a Waste Treatment Plant to comply with applicable regulations

Darrera has supplied and installed a new windsock at a Waste Treatment Plant, providing an immediate visual indication of wind direction and helping the facility comply with applicable regulatory requirements.

The new windsock provides a quick and easy way to identify wind direction from different areas of the plant. This information is particularly relevant at a Waste Treatment Plant, where knowing the wind direction provides an immediate indication of the potential dispersion direction of particles and other diffuse emissions, supporting the implementation of appropriate prevention and control measures.

For this project, Darrera supplied a polyester windsock manufactured in accordance with ICAO standards, featuring alternating white and aviation red bands that enhance its visibility from a distance. The assembly is completed by a rotating frame mounted on a 3-meter-high tilting mast, painted with a white protective coating. Both the frame and the mast are made of AISI 304 stainless steel, providing high resistance to weather conditions and ensuring a long service life.

Through this project, Darrera has provided the Waste Treatment Plant with a weather signaling solution tailored to its operational needs and designed to facilitate compliance with the requirements applicable to this type of facility.
