The weather information provided by the stations will help optimize maintenance operations and increase safety in the metro network.
Darrera has carried out the supply and installation of the first weather station of the new MeteoMetro network, driven by Metro de Madrid and that will be expanded in the coming months with additional data acquisition points spread throughout the city.
The first station, which has been installed in the Canillejas facility of Metro de Madrid, measures wind speed and direction, temperature, humidity, precipitation and atmospheric pressure, and features a system for automated and real-time weather data sending to the Internet, which allows for remote monitoring and management from the control center.
