Lightning detection and warning

The BTD-200 is an advanced lightning detection and warning system capable of detecting all forms of lightning strikes within a radius of up to 35 Km, including cloud-to-ground, cloud-to-cloud and intra-cloud. The electrostatic operating principle gives the detector an extremely low false alarm rate and the ability to warn of the risk of overhead lightning even before the first electrical discharge.

Easy to use and integrate

The BTD-200 can be used as a standalone warning system or as part of a complete weather monitoring system. For standalone use, a comprehensive software application is supplied, which provides all the required features such as sensor configuration, real-time data visualization and data logging. For integration into a weather monitoring system, the detector is supplied with a RS-422 serial port, providing an ASCII output string for easy data processing. The detector is virtually maintenance-free in operation.
