The ‘Pro’ Davis Instruments weather station

Vantage Pro2™ is the top end Davis Instruments weather station. It offers high performance and durability both to professionals and true weather enthusiasts, plus the ability to fully adapt to their specific needs.

The Plus model comes with the solar and UV radiation sensors, which allow to calculate some additional weather variables.

The fan-aspirated model comes with a 24-hour active fan that sucks air through the sensor chamber inside the radiation shield, thus completely reducing the effects of solar radiation on the temperature and humidity measurements to achieve high accuracy and reliability. The system features a solar panel that powers the fan during the day, while charging an internal battery that provides power at night.

Elegant and sturdy design

The Vantage Pro2™ design stands out for its elegance and sturdiness. It is resistant to corrosion and to severe weather conditions. The radiation shield provides excellent protection against solar radiation and other sources of radiated and reflected heat. The solar panel powers the Integrated Sensor Suite (ISS) during the day, while charging an internal battery that provides power at night. A lithium battery serves as a backup power source in case of need.

Long-range wireless technology

The ISS sends data packets to the console wirelessly to a distance of up to 300 meters and with a refresh rate of 2.5 seconds. This is three times farther than competing stations and up to ten times faster. In addition, the frequency hopping spread spectrum radio technology ensures reliable and interference-free data transmission.

The wireless transmission range can be extended by using short and long-range repeaters.
